Adama S Jaw

Adama S Jaw

My name are Adama S. Jaw from the Gambia, a university student persuing degree in law. I love reading novels and enjoy playing with kids. My favorite games are football and athletic. I was very lucky to meet with AforA who are sponsoring my university program.  With out them my life would have been miserable, thanks to AforA. I would like to help my fellow Gambian and anywhere if I have the capacity.

The AforA means a lot to me, my family and my country. Without the help of AforA I would not be in this position by now, they make my success and my family too. Because when I complete my course i wil work for my country and support the young…all I inspired from the AforA. Secondly, my family are very excited about the help and encouragement AforA offering to me every time… they always pray for AforA and not only that but they would like to see you (AforA) Finally, my country are also very much excited for the help and encouragement AforA always offer the young boys and girls in the Gambian for a higher level of education. AforA are exceptional in our life and we cannot pay for you people…but we always offer our prayers to the AforA. Thanks!!!

STARTING OF THE ACCADEMIC YEAR
AM OFFERING THE FOLLOWING COURSES; CONSTITUTIONAL LAW 1, LAW OF TORT 1, CRIMINAL LAW 1, CONTRACT
LAW 1, PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL LAW AND INTRODUCTION TO MANAGEMENT. THE EXAM RESULT I OBTAIN FOR THE
LAST SEMESTER WAS VERY GOOD BECAUSE I PASS ALL THE COURSES I OFFER FOR THAT SEMESTER, AND THE

FROM MY FRIENDS. FINALLY, I DID NOT WORK ON ANY INTERNSHIP YET, BUT SOME TIMES I DO HELP THE YOUNG

Spring semester 2017

The academic chellenges that affect us mostly, was the political cries, and that been the case some of the lectures could not complete their syllabus…another thing is Internet connection, we couldn’t do our researchs on time..transportation is another chellenges moving from where I stay up to the university is far. Finally, we couldn’t access to other books due their costy and as a law students is very important you have those book for your studies. These are some of the top chellenges we faced during this semester.

Bachelor of law December 2018

I have just completed my law degree as a freshman at the University of the Gambia with lot of joys, happiness and so much grateful to AforA academic, without them I would not achieve my dreams easily.

My plans at this stage are to join the bar school as legal practitioners or to pursuit my master degree program.

After finally, achieve all my dreams I would like to give services to my community and particularly students of AforA academic.

I use to work as a volunteer in my community throughout my high school career, I enjoyed helping people learn about community services available to them. I hope to be able to serve in a political position sometime in the future, where I might have even more of an ability to help less fortunate and under-represented social groups.  My educational pursuits would not be possible without generous support from scholarship sponsors like your AforA academic.  Thank you AforA for enabling this opportunity!

Report March 2019

I am doing  teaching for now, because in the Gambia before you qualify to become a practicing lawyer, you must pass through the law school (the bar) which is 9 months studies. this 9 months is costing 90 thousand dalasis (90,000) which is very expensive. my plan for now is to go for master’s program in international and diplomacy, if i have the opportunities. Because this master’s program i will prefer doing it out side the Gambia in other to acquire more experience

Uppföljning i Gambia oktober 2019
